About the Festival
In 2028, Kostroma will host the BRICS Folk Dance Festival.

For five days, participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops in national dances and exchange experience and knowledge about dance cultures of different countries.

The festival programme includes the creation of an international dance team, national lounges with traditional dishes and souvenirs, a joint performance of the Round Dance of Friendship flash mob, and an interactive session to strengthen international friendship.
Participation Terms
  • Alliance Membership
    To participate in the festival, you must be a member of the BRICS Alliance of Folk Dance.
  • Team:
    Each team should include 9 people:
    • 1 choreographer
    • 8 dancers (4 boys and 4 girls).
  • National Representation
    During the festival, each team will present its national lounge, decorating it in accordance with the cultural traditions of the country. Participants are required to bring traditional costumes and present national cuisine.
  • Financial Terms
    All transportation costs, accommodation, meals, and excursions for festival participants will be covered by the host party.
